Darren began his career with Frontier Ag in February 2017, operating the dry fertilizer applicator at the Ruleton location. In the years that followed, Darren has taken on different responsibilities throughout the organization. In May 2019, Darren stepped into a leadership role managing the Agronomy and Grain facilities in Ruleton, later adding the Kanorado location to his oversight.
In February 2022, Darren transitioned to the merchandising team, where he supported producers with their grain marketing strategies. By April 2023, he returned to his operational roots, taking on the role of West Region Operations Manager. In this capacity, Darren oversees operations across six key locations: Bird City, Brewster, Edson, Goodland, Kanorado and Ruleton.
Darren holds a degree in Computer Information Systems from Fort Hays State University. His diverse professional background includes service in the U.S. Army, five years in IT at Hays Medical Center, 19 years as SVP of Information Systems at First National Bank in Goodland, and a year teaching Computer Fundamentals and CDL Training at Northwest Kansas Technical College.
Darren and his wife Jessica are active supporters of local organizations such as FFA, 4H, and S4C. Together with their children, Brooklyn and Peyton, they are committed to strengthening rural life through service, leadership, and engagement.
